Seattle Colleges (SC) is a collection of colleges in Seattle, Washington. Founded in the late 1960s and early 1970s, this education system currently consists of three main campuses, a district office, and five specialty centers:

Using A Key Card To Unlock The Door

  1. Put the card close to the reader mounted by the door (within 2 inches from the reader face)
  2. Wait a few seconds
  3. You will see a red LED light that alternates between green and red, meanwhile the door lock disengages. At that time, the door should be unlocked. 

Using Student Card To Borrow Books From Self-Catering Machine

  1. Choose the book from the shelf
  2. Take the book to the machine
  3. Tap your card on the base to open up your account
  4. Place the barcode of the book underneath the scanner and wait until you hear the beep
  5. Tap ‘finish’ on the machine screen

Steps To Obtain A Student ID Card

Before receiving a Seattle Colleges card, students must be enrolled in classes and submit photo identification, that is a driver’s license or a passport.

A one-off fee of $10.00 is required to receive an ID card at Central or $7.50 at South Campus. It is preferred to pay at the Cashier window prior to having your photo taken. Once paid, you must bring your receipt, and a proof of your enrollment and payment to the ID Center.

They will shoot your photo, and then your card will be issued.

Card Troubleshooting
